The Broward Health is a tax-assisted, not-for profit network of more than 40 healthcare facilities offering a full spectrum of services to meet virtually any medical need. We are the medical safety net for the northern two-thirds of Broward County, providing services to all regardless of ability to pay.
The Broward Health strongly believes in protecting our users' information and takes the issue of privacy very seriously. Users are free to use this website without participating in any electronic submission that requests your personal information, and thereby avoid providing personally identifiable information. We collect personal information from you when you register for our E-Letters and when you complete one of our online forms. We will not disclose your personal individual information to anyone outside of the Broward Health other than for the reasons stated below.
The Broward Health will not disclose your personal information to a third party unless we are required to do so by law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process; (2) protect and defend our rights and property; (3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of www.BrowardHealth.org or (4) protect the personal safety or property of Broward Health members or the public. Should you choose to provide us with false information or attempt to pose as someone else-- information about you as well as your computer's IP address -- may be disclosed as part of any investigation into your actions.
New Subscribers Information
If you choose to subscribe to our E-Letters, we do require that you provide us with certain current and accurate personal identifying information, such as your name, email address*, gender, ZIP code and year of birth. The Broward Health is committed to protecting your privacy and will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.
When you subscribe to the E-Letters, or provide us your email address* by completing
one of our online forms, you may receive periodic email messages from us. These
messages may include updates regarding our site's services, features and other information
meant to enhance your experience on our site. It is our goal to provide you with
information relevant to your interaction with our site and you may unsubscribe from
these services at any time.
Cookies
In order to continually improve your experience on our site, The Broward Health may place a “cookie” on your computer's hard drive. “Cookies” allow us
to compile aggregate information about which areas of our site are visited most
frequently and to remember your personalized settings. The traffic information attained
may be used to enhance the content of our site.
If you've set your browser to reject cookies, you can still use our site, but you
may need to re-enter information that we would normally obtain from the cookie.
You can also set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies. If you do, you

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone,
email* or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide
a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' personally identifiable information.
This can usually be done by logging onto the Current Subscribers section of www.BrowardHealth.org.
Privacy Changes
Because The Broward Health strongly believes in protecting our
users' personal information, you have our assurance that you will be notified of
any changes made in our privacy practices. A notice of change will be posted on
our site so that our users are made aware of any changes made.
*E-mail
Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released
in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.
Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
